Dear Fellow Valuation and Appraisal Professionals,<\/p>\n

Please join us once more to celebrate this year\u2019s International Valuation and Appraisal Week to be held from 1 to 7 November 2023<\/strong>. This is our 13th<\/strong> year the valuation and appraisal community has been able to combine together to celebrate a week aimed at enhancing the awareness for the valuation profession from a global perspective.<\/p>\n

WAVO would like to hear from all of you VPOs and of your physical as well as online activities, members\u2019 dialogues, gathering and interactive sharing sessions, etc that you are planning over next few weeks especially in the first week of November. Do keep WAVO informed of the main media in your countries as WAVO would like to extend this Calendar of Valuation virtual events to them for their news coverage in your respective countries. <\/span><\/p>\n

The valuation and appraisal profession continued to face very challenging economic and business environment even as countries had placed the COVID situation into endemic or non-pandemic in tandem with the steadily re-opening of their borders.<\/p>\n

As such business activities and meetings are still carried out virtually coupled with physical or hybrid attendance as costs of flights and accommodations have risen significantly in 2023 with interest rates and finance costs of businesses expected to stay high longer.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, the World Association of Valuation Organisations (WAVO)<\/strong> comprising a focused group of professional valuation organisations that represent valuers, appraisers, accountants and related property and business consultants<\/strong> and we believe that it is important that a week be dedicated to the promotion of this select group of valuation professionals. This year\u2019s Valuation and Appraisal Week continues the same theme building upon the importance that valuers and appraisers make towards the global economy.<\/p>\n

I thank all participants for their continued participation and growing support for this initiative and warmly welcome other valuation organisations to join in and participate in some measurable way towards this worthwhile week-long event.<\/p>\n

During the first week of November 2023, participants will be able to use this guide to plan their own event, publicise and promote the valuation and appraisal profession in their own geographic area.<\/p>\n

Please accept this Official Guide as a common standard and theme during this time. Thank you for your continued support and growing interest in this initiative. Best wishes to you all.<\/p>\n
